Salvadoran President Nayves Bukele has called on authorities to use global electricity from the country's low-energy fire to power the Bitcoin City project, reports Golden Finance. According to Bukele, there is a 90% chance that the Conchagua volcano could be used to provide 42 megawatts of energy, enough to power the entire city of Bitcoin. State-owned utility LaGeo continues to develop geothermal power for several of the country's largest volcanoes, which are expected to be capable of generating 95 megawatts in one location.
