PolygonHermez is developing zkEVM and plans to launch the mainnet in the second quarter of 2022.

According to official data, Polygon Hermez has announced that the Hermez Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM) is under development and is expected to be released to the mainnet in the second quarter of 2022. It has now been announced that Hermz only exchanges tokens and does not support EVM relationships. Under Hermez's leadership, all EVM-enabled versions of V2 will support seamless transmissions without the need to open or write existing smart contracts.
