Multi-chains in attack by users as hack damage hits $3 million
Hackers continue to use malicious means in the Cross-Chain Routing Protocol (CRP) multi-chain, which first surfaced on January 17.
Earlier this week, Multichain asked users to forego a token agreement to protect their assets from hackers.
However, a statement released by Multichain on January 17 encouraged more hackers to take advantage of it. One of them stole $1.43 million, the other returned 80% cash back and split the rest. According to ZenGo Wallet co-founder Tal Beery, the net worth has now risen to $3 million.
The multi-chain hack is not yet complete.

For token support including WETH, PERI, OMT, WBNB, MATIC and AVAX is also affected by the breach.
Users alleged that the company failed to provide enough facts or support through the media. Users who lose $960,000 donate 50 ETH to the thief's address in exchange for the balance.
The company reported undoubtedly significant brand impacts on January 17, saying it was set for January 17, but also warned users to withdraw their tokens on January 19. Multichain since recent tweets stream blocking.
Crypto-twitter feature 'ChainLinkGod' said it was 'incredibly skeptical' of platform alerts, while 'drarreg17' asks how much 'would reward users like me who have been impacted by the protests ?"

Disgruntled users told the company's Telegram group today that Multichain could not resolve skepticism or provide the support users needed.

According to Beery, the company has been giving hackers "bugs" since January 18 in search of old safe houses with loot of over 450 ETH ($1.43 million).
Multichain (formerly Anyswap) aims to be the ultimate web 3.0 router. The ecosystem supports 30 chains, including Bitcoin, Avalanche, Ethereum, Fantom, Litecoin, Terra, and non-volatile exchanges.
With TVL hitting nearly $9 billion, it's unclear when and how the channel will fix this problem. Cointelegraph has called the project for comment.
