Block宣布Cash App整合闪电网络 比特币付款数秒完成无须手续费

Global Payments Block (formerly Square) announced today (19) that it is integrating the Lightning Network into its popular payment app, App Cash. According to the company's announcements, Lightning Network functionality will be available to US Cash app users in the coming weeks, and bitcoins can be transferred to other Lightning Network-enabled wallets at no cost.

“Over the next few weeks, US cash app users will be able to send free bitcoin to anyone in the world in seconds using the Lightning Network. Consumers will be able to send friends, family and friends to all external users in the Cash app. You can send it to the same wallet, self-check wallet, or a merchant who accepts Lightning Network payments to send bitcoins for free."

In fact, similar features were introduced to some Cash App users this month. Some netizens said on Twitter that as early as the 11th, App Cash was told that Lightning Network would merge, but App Cash was not announced at that time.

Integration of Lightning Network in the Cash app in early 2019

According to TechCrunch, the Money app describes the benefits of the Lightning Network in a statement. A typical Bitcoin Mainnet market will take longer to trade and pay a higher price than the Lightning Network.

“Although Lightning Network is a two-tiered solution for the Bitcoin market, the industry has been built on (off-chain) blockchain, which saves cost, time to trade, and effort. However , you can still benefit from the blockchain .decentralization of the blockchain following the merger and closure of the Lightning Network on the Bitcoin blockchain mainnet.

Jack Dorsey, founder of Twitter and Block (formerly Square), has also expressed interest in the Lightning Network and is an investor in Lightning Labs, the group behind the technology. In a 2019 interview, he said he plans to integrate Lightning Network technology into Square's Cash app.

"It doesn't matter, it's more about when and how you get the speed and features you want."

Raws li Lightning Network Development Kit LDK

The Cash app's Lightning Network integration is powered by the Bitcoin Lightning Network LIGHTNING DEV KIT (LDK), released in December by cryptocurrency firm Spiral. The LDK mission is to make it easier for developers to access the Lightning Network for mobile and POS networks, and to provide an easy way to integrate Bitcoin into every application.

Block noted that the Cash app is now the first and largest paid app affiliated with LDK.

Additionally, social software mogul Twitter, who oversees Jack Dorsey, who resigned as Twitter CEO late last year, announced the Lightning Network-backed Bitcoin advisory feature in the iOS version of application in September of last year. It was made available to Android users in October.
