In October 2020, for RMB digital test was added, including Shanghai, Hainan, Changsha, Xi'an, Qingdao and Dalian. What is the difference between RMB digital payments and Alipay and WeChat? Is the digital yuan safe? To better understand public perception of the digital yuan and their intended use of the digital yuan, the National Security Council recently conducted a survey of 252 citizens.The search results are as follows.1. More than 60% of the population understands the digital renminbi, and the main channels of understanding are TV, newspapers, online social media, etc.Knowledge of the digital yuanIt was found that 64.3% of respondents understand the digital yuan. Among them, 13.1% said they know the concept, situation and usage of the digital yuan, and have never heard of the yuan. The percentage of respondents “with a bachelor's degree, general or advanced knowledge of digital RMB” is 66.2%, and the percentage of respondents with a higher or higher bachelor's degree is 80.0%.

When asked if they thought there was a difference between the digital yuan and Bitcoin and Dogecoin, 70% of respondents said, “There is a significant difference. The yuan is a good currency, and Bitcoin is a virtual currency” (73.0%). 27.0% said they did not understand.

The reason for digital advertising in yuanWhen asked "Why do you think our country needs digital yuan?" In terms of age, younger investigators are more concerned about the ease of using the digital renminbi, and older investigators are more concerned about the security of the renminbi and the relevance of certain categories. 51.4% of teenagers (21-30 years old) worry that "convenience is not the same as WeChat / Alipay". 54.8% and 41.7% of “51-60” and “61+” respondents were concerned about “fear of account takeover, theft, and censorship,” respectively. 25.0% of people over "over 61" are concerned that "the functionality of a smartphone is necessary, but difficult to use in some groups".

4. Over 60% of residents believe that the digital renminbi will continuously improve and gradually become aware of the changing nature of our national currency.According to the survey, when asked, "What do you think is the vision for the development of the digital yuan in Korea?" 80% of respondents answered: “A stable and sustainable development. 5.
