EPNS Ethereum announces its release protocol
On the morning of January 12, Beijing time, the EPNS Ethereum alert service was launched on the Ethereum mainnet.
After accessing EPNS through a decentralized wallet, you can receive project channel messages through ios, Android and web browser mobile plugins.
Thus, the process can be used by two broad audiences: the channel and the username.
Channels are dapps, users, and businesses that want to send notifications to others. These alerts can be sent individually or configured as a text message or phone call with an automatic response. For example, a media company might publish a short story when an article is published. Alternatively, through the DeFi Project, users can be notified when they borrow money.
Channel users can select “Create channel” after logging in to app.epns.io. Follow the steps to set up your channel, create alerts, and broadcast your channel to the main network. It then waits for the user to register.
Subscribers are people who want to be notified by others. Applicants can choose to browse EPNS live channels and receive notifications through the app. Then the notification is sent to the user's "inbox". The channel is now available on the EPNS app (iOS / Andriod) and more to come in the future.
EPNS is an integral part of the notification protocol which views notifications as the export of various types of information, provides differentiated information, and performs other functions depending on the application. EPNS thus provides for each payload alert a specific payload which defines the specific characteristics of the data and the average storage it carries.
The EPNS protocol has been in development for over a year and completed the ChainSafe audit in October 2021.
EPNS uses the following procedures to ensure that reports are collected, disseminated and transmitted in a decentralized and platform independent manner.
Alerts are stored and processed as JSON payloads, and when alerts arrive, they are modified based on third-party policies. JSON payloads can vary for different types of payloads, ensuring easy reliability in terms of content, data, translation storage, and delivery.
These procedures allow users to directly control which services receive notifications and enforce service rules such as preventing spam for users and restricting the ability to add money wallets according to consumers.
