How do I find work on Web3?
in the pastI have given advice to strangers and friends who want to work full time in cryptocurrency, and have written about it in detail before. But last year and wanted to provide new and updated working tips with recent examples (what worked 2 years ago won't work today).
Why did you start or work on Web3 (aka Crypto) at the start of your career? First, because it will affect almost all industries over the next 20 years. Secondly, Web3 gives young people the opportunity to become professionals in this development without having to take it to the next level (consulting / banking / technology) after many years of reaching the level where they want to work in a company or in a career. Working hard leads to positive results.
Finally, the smartest people in the world got access to Web3. Leave the FANG company (Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Google) and join the crypto or DAO company. The better people are, the more they learn, and you should get the most out of them early in your career. ~
informations
There are only two languages. The instructions that a person follows because he has worked for him, and the advice that is humble and natural, learns from regret. Both are important, but only the first should be copied.
My advice comes from what works for me and what doesn't, and applies to a lot of people, althoughMy advice is for people with little professional experience, university students or those with a few years of professional experience who want to change careers.
Think of this application as a menu, choose a few options that best suit your preferences and validate. Relationships are important.
inter alia internally
Internships are the fastest way to find out what interests you. Highly recommended if you are a student of any grade level and have the opportunity to work on a project. It may be the best option for students who want to learn and gain experience with connected communication. Practicing in a local cryptocurrency exchange in Hong Kong during my MBA was a first experience.
Join the DAO
Partners can participate in a variety of DAOs including social DAO, protocol DAO, NFT controlled DAO / community, capital DAO, etc.
Social DAOs, which are DAOs that often create communities based on specific community topics, events, or activities, are the first to join in to connect and understand how DAOs work. These DAOs include specialist communities such as ATX DAOs, NFT closed communities, and DAOs such as Friends with Funds.
Alternatively, if you have special knowledge or a passion for a particular product or process, joining this DAO can be a great way to gain early recognition and build a good reputation. Many DAOs including Sushi, Rarible, Index Coop, Yearn, etc. have different workgroups for different people. Proving that DAO can add value is a great way to 1) gain experience and prove that you can add value to your product / protocol and be able to benefit from it in connection with your involvement with DAO.
In a nutshell for DAO East, you might not be able to do well with more than 2-3 DAO (unless you have very little DAO). Make good donations, not small donations. DAOs want to work with the most active DAOs, not the hottest ones.
be an early adopter
In retrospect, getting an early adoption is easy, but right now you have to take some risks. These risks include the cost of trial and error in time, money and resources. Replacing cryptocurrencies with new applications or processes is expensive and often carries the risk of disruption. Sometimes things like Loot or YFI need to be plugged in so that they can be thrown or planted immediately when they fall. In other cases, it costs money for an agricultural or commercial contract that will not contract airdrops or distribute them to consumers. How many Bitcoin extremists avoided Ethereum early on because they had already invested in another competitor like Ethereum or didn't want to see its potential.
Fortunately, DAOs like Rabbithole have helped educate the next generation of crypto users by either encouraging them to use the process or giving them the option to get the job done for XP. Rabbithold has completed the Polygon-like process approval and has made it possible for all ENS graduates to receive the ENS Airdrop. Not all airdrops are important, but some airdrops are effective.
Beyond the airdrop, early adopters are often the best candidates for early recruitment, as they become the majority members of Discord or the community. The founders also want to hire believers in their work. Young children who have already been supported for jobs in their spare time are better off than workers who need the highest wages. According to the evidence, almost all of Messari's early detectives were from community analysts who spoke to people who were passionate about and passionate about cryptocurrencies.
Today, Messari Hub pays its analysts, but most of the Messari Intelligence team comes from Messari Hub because they still need people focused on cryptocurrency.
Join the Messari Center
Signing up with the Messari Hub can be a great way to get information, generate demand, earn money, and make connections in the cryptocurrency world. He joined the Messari analyst program for the first time in the development of crypto assets. Ryan Selkis' first name reviewer was exactly what I was looking for, a place to start, get involved, and learn as much as possible. I learned about ERC20 tokens, defined 2 state channels and much more through crypto-crypto profiling and osmosis. When people like coaches or other Messari Hub assessors are present, their knowledge and experience is passed on to others.
Personally, Messari helped me cope with the situation very early on. In the "real" business world, you put an Ivy League, McKinsey or Goldman Sachs school or [insert your favorite big company] close at hand and people will listen to you.In cryptocurrency, people are less interested in your education (Messari ignores it at all)State or TradFi experience, but names like Coinbase, Messari, OpenSea, Uniswap, Compound, Chainalysis all suggest you have more than sound. Unfortunately, people tend to want to take advantage of it.
However, I see many Messari Hub analysts diving full time into cryptocurrencies as they use the most important platform (Messari platform) to get their alerts.
writing
Nic Carter, Chris Burniske, Ryan Selkis, Derek Hsue, Phil Bonello, Ryan Watkins, and Kyle Samani have all been named in the crypto space by starting blogs on blockchain topics often related to investing or research. One of the best skills you can use is your writing. Not only is it difficult to write great content, but it is also difficult to have the courage to speak up. In other words, who can be the author. Don't tell yourself. I have never considered myself to be a writer. I wrote hundreds of thousands of words, but I still have some typos in my writing.
A few simple sentences or notes:
If you refuse to share your thoughts, skip it! If you want to relax, before you end up big, long, or hard. You will be amazed how much time people spend reading. Important and useful points selected.
Domain Expertise: Analyze the content of domain names, mining resources, NFTs, smart contracts, stationary parts, and digital art. , DeFi aggregation, Metaverse ecosystem, etc.
instruction. You did something, and now tell the others how! DeFi Dad turned his attention to integrating DeFi users in the position of the best DeFi wallet (Zapper) and later in the capital (Fourth Revolution Capital). I don't like DeFi, NFT demos, new blockchains, or niche apps.
Columns and Times: The Darren Lau newspaper, Daily Ape, provides a list of important and timely events.
If prose isn't yours, share your skills here on Twitter: Simpson Nic Carter, Ari David Paul, Hasu, Tom Shaughnessy, Jason Choi, Ryan Watkins and more, don't be a liar or a liar.
Twitter Tips:
Create a weekly Twitter thread for your favorite topics.
Aggregate good topics or write long texts on a topic.
Synthesize important events or listen to multiple podcasts.
The graphics work well. It takes time to develop, but it helps build word of mouth.
For ease of distribution, list the people or companies involved in the message, but do not explicitly include people who are inconsistent in the message or image. It's a quick fix. Don't finish that damn Elon or SBF. It's the long way (they won't care about you). Instead, end up with 10,000 to 100,000 subscribers across various channels who will retweet or like your post.
Crap Articles & Memes: CMS interns create titles with fun and creative videos and memes. I tried to recreate this completely by other users at work, but without the same effort.
Stick to it You should tweet at least once a week. It's like a game.
Come up with ideas, or at least come up with your own ideas based on the ones that already exist.
You will start with 0 followers, reaching 1k is the hardest and 10K is always stress and from there it gets easier. Twitter's final policy -be honest, people want to focus on real people, not robots.
Use other social media platforms
Twitter has the strongest crypto community, but you can find your favorite posts using Instagram, Reddit, Periscope, TikTok, or any other social media platform. Most people can only complete with a few mediums like Twitter and Linkedin or Instagram and TikTok, so use whatever medium you think is the smartest. Also consider using new social media platforms or features like TikTok or Twitter Spaces. If you're on your channel and you're like, "Wow, this content is junk, I can do better" then you probably are and someone can get more viewers for good content (you see TikTok) . Usually the theme is to try a new form of advertising and then stick with what works best for you.
Start a YouTube channel or podcast
You might not be the master of the word, but you can create movies, especially live content. Start your own Youtube channel or create a video tutorial. YouTube is the second largest search engine. Take it to your advantage.
There are podcasts for crypto chats, great podcasts from Jill Carlson and Meltem Demirors. Tony Sheng is trying to make a fun podcast (still waiting for next season). What Bitcoin Did by Peter McCormack. Nathaniel Whittemore started Long Reading Sunday, edited the content and now hosts completed podcasts / live.
Unsolicited podcast instructions from someone who did not host the podcast:
My God, don't think of a podcast as just an interview with X people. It is an old format.
Think live podcasting to be more specific and lengthy.
Make your podcast story (Crazy Genius), educational (Gimlet), or whatever.
Check out the Robinhood Snack podcast for daily news or the Naval and Nivi podcasts from Spearhead or How to Make Money.
There is room for small podcasts between 3 and 15 minutes. Just because Joe Rogan is finishing a three-hour podcast doesn't mean each podcast has to be at least an hour long.
Meatspace: Meetings, events and participating organizations
If your area is full of blockchain events, consider attending a rally or community event which is usually free. Easy places to find events, including Meetup and Eventbrite. For students, check out your school's blockchain club or create your own! If you are looking for a job, I don't recommend going to a meeting unless you are really good at meeting. Because conference tickets don't provide a good return on your investment unless you're good at meetings. job)). The first NFT community started organizing meetings with partner DAOs such as Bankless and Friends with Funds.
Mus rau Crypto City
Basically, we are all objects of our environment. As we all know, to be successful in using technology, you have to be where new developments are happening. I'm not saying you should move to a bigger city like New York or San Francisco, but if you are there you should take advantage. Other high-tech cities in the United States include Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, and Seattle. If you like to travel, you have a lot of options. Berlin, Shanghai or Singapore are all in your favorites.
If you are in China, you have to go to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou. These five cities have the most advanced and fastest technology in encrypted data, so you can learn about the latest technology faster. .
I'm going to warn you of this and it won't matter where you are. Most crypto companies are remote first, but if you're still young it's always a good idea to meet people on your own to build those connections. Connecting with office workers or having a drink on a Tuesday afternoon is easier than Zoom. It is also possible to establish a good connection in a remote environment first, but it takes more effort.
Use your power (magician abilities)
It should only be used by people with experience in the field. If you have the following skills:
Analyst (Excel Assistant)
Accounting assistant (CPA)
CFA (assistant "I have no information capital")
Lawyer (never tired of legal wizards)
Fearless Public Speaker (assistant vocal ou podcast)
Sau Zoo li Dickens (Keyboard Assistant)
the people say
Process (detail-oriented work assistant)
Design (Photoshop and graphic design assistant)
Financial literacy (cryptocurrencies are based on renaissance and game theory)
Having any of these skills makes you more valuable than others in the crypto space today. For students and young people, take your time to learn new skills or gain experience.
provide your services
It doesn't mean telling someone "tell me how I can help you" like you are a VC or VC account. The world of cryptocurrency is small compared to other industries. You can connect with people on Twitter or by email. Do not contact the executives of investment firms or the CEOs of your favorite cryptocurrency companies. Most will not respond. Find new people for your business. I may have more time and will call you as an expert. There is a lot of talk about how to reach people, so I won't say more that you should find a way to deliver value.
Some examples:
People are always on the lookout for something to help them find the information they need.
Curation of content, news, information, documents, people, educational material, etc.
Start a local network in your community.
Get off the beaten track. It is not always possible to tell people what they want / need. What are your specific skills and what can you acquire?
Find a crypto partner
ETH has friends, and so should you. Find a friend who cares about you and who works on any of the above topics. No one can reach the top alone, and it will leave you feeling lonely. Ryan Sean Adams and David Hoffman are the oily machines. Arguably one of the best crypto scientists, Hasu writes often with others.
how to find a job
There are two ways to look for work.
1.The easy way.
2.hard.
the easy way
Being alone and having sex online. It's true that the internet is the best way to find a job, and online dating, chatting, or networking will help you more than you might think. After all, people want to work with their peers.
hard
The best advice I can give you is this: it should stand out and focus on your audience. The quality of the application is more important than the applications you submit.
If you submit the same cover letter or application to 100 open positions, you can get the position.
One of the latest tips for building apps - different baddies, so think outside the box. Here are some ideas.
Create images, graphics or videos to view.
Think of a cool project or search for an existing one and do something a little different (#defi index, DeepDAO, etc.).
Stay ahead of development like social tokens.
Create a website or newsletter with important information, such as information about the new nft or the names of the forums for each open source crypto project. Find ways to save time or effort. This is an additional cost.
Explore super niche blockchain related topics and write or tweet about your findings. It may not be superficial, but it doesn't have to change everything. Tweet / write / quote your version and comments.
Write descriptions of some of the best crypto products and procedures.
Employers look after people who do things for themselves and do good things. If you're still a student or haven't been to school for a year or two, consider yourself lucky. You will spend less time and more time creating your goals and following the tips above, or you will be spending your time better.
Take-back notice
Again, specific to your needs. If you don't know how to fill out a resume or want to start from scratch, Harvard offers many free services. Also, be creative with your needs, create a page idea, or at least add a great design. Remember, we are dealing with the human brain, the lizard, which is always drawn to bright colors, shapes, and artistry.
Whether you are reporting on the development of your monthly newsletter, top newsletters, newsletters, or other celebrities, it's important to take advantage of this data and measure anywhere.
Plus, no one will read your entire workflow. They need important content, relevant knowledge, and links to key channels (such as Github, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).
Here are some tips to help you find a job:
AngelList - Without a doubt, is one of the best places to find a job with a cryptocurrency startup.
Crypto Jobs - There are also recommended lists to help you find a job.
CryptoJobsList - A great tool.
Cryptocurrency works - etc.

Working with Web3 - Web3 is hot right now.
Newsletter - Follow newsletters from your favorite companies to keep them frequently informed about new jobs and opportunities.
Most VCs advertise vacancies for companies such as Pantera., ConsenSys Labs, and Pardigm.
last instructions
Overcome fear of relationships or bad behavior, sometimes feeling unworthy of requests and fear of tweeting or posting their thoughts. However, you can make mistakes like this but unfortunately it doesn't matter, you can change your mind and apply for any job you want.
final thoughts
Work hard, be humble, and live in peace. Finally, I want to thank Messari for giving me the opportunity to work in a field that I love with good people. Plus, thanks to Crypto Twitter, you're generally doing well.
