According to the survey results, 26% of Japanese cryptocurrency traders tried to hold NFTs, mostly young people between the ages of 20 and 40.

For most of those interviewed, the main reason for holding NFTs is similar to investing in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) i.e. long term holdings. According to BitBank, up to 60% of respondents say they view NFTs as a long-term investment.

According to the survey results, 39% of those polled said they did not sell DTV and did not know the price, and over 22% said they did not sell DTV but knew the price. Another 19% of respondents said they had benefited from TVN.

The report also noted that in the Japanese cryptocurrency industry, art is still a key topic for NFTs, followed by sports, meta-universes, entertainment, and hobbies.

The NFT Marketplace has become popular in Japan, and the local cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck launched the NFT Marketplace in March 2021.

Because Japan is known around the world for its most popular culture (like anime and manga), many believe that Japan has the potential to support the development of the NFT movement.
