Coinbase Wallet begins supporting NFTs
U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has updated its own wallet functionality, including additional support for non-fungible tokens (e.g. NFTs), which may also support browser plugins. .
The company announced on Tuesday that Coinbase Wallet will soon be able to support NFTs, allowing users to view its products and access giant NFT apps such as OpenSea. Coinbase has not specified when the new features will be used, but it does indicate that users must install the latest version of the browser plug-in to use these features.
Coinbase has announced plans to expand support for NFTs by 2022 and make trading easier and cheaper. Coinbase Wallet has DEX integration which allows users to trade tokens on a variety of exchanges. As reported by Cointelegraph, Coinbase recently released a new wallet-only browser, giving users access to many crypto assets from major DEXs.
Although the NFT craze has slowed sharply in recent months, the growth of digital devices is one of the biggest challenges for 2021. Cointelegraph Consulting expects all NFT revenue to hit 17.7 billion dollars this year. Weekly sales increased by more than $ 1.6 billion at the end of August, according to data from NonFungible.
Coinbase is now the second largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, according to data from CoinMarketCap, ranked by total transaction volume. Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, has previously supported the NFT market and in October announced support for multiple NFT deposits and withdrawals.
