Everyone is talking about this topic. This is in part due to a number of factors such as a new virus that has slowly turned our lives into digitalization, and people will come to the point where Facebook recently changed its column name from "New York Times" to "meta". ". . The theme of the conference and the meta-world has become a hot topic.

I have written this information in detail elsewhere and have even mentioned it in a few articles. However, I think this topic is still worth exploring in depth due to the risk of spanking.

What is a meta-universe?

Defining the "meta-edge" is an impossible task from the start.

First of all, it's hard to predict what the meta world will look like and ultimately what it will mean to us as it's still in its infancy, which seems to point to Snapchat's outcome after the release of the Iphone. .

What's even more confusing is that people have different understandings of the meta world. Some people find "metaverse" (plural) more appropriate. This is because the Metaverse has multiple virtual experiences that users can access across a variety of different locations. Some people don't use that word at all. Because this word has become a popular word. The "meta universe" encompasses almost everything in the virtual world. Maybe the "meta-edge" itself will eventually change at some other point. Who knows?

Now it is important to at least try to give a clear idea of ​​this concept. The best rendition I can find is that of entrepreneur Matthew Ball, and his article on the metaverse is a must read. While acknowledging that it is not possible to describe the entire metaverse, he defines the metaverse as follows:

To some, it may sound like "Second Life", a huge online game (MMORPG) popular in the 21st century. While this example is true for some, it is only a visual description of one type of meta-world. Indeed, the meta-space architects' design space will be immense and ultimately user-centric.

So who created the meta world? Until now, it has been divided into two dormant quarters: the non-crypto and cryptocurrency meta-universes. And until recently, it was under construction almost at the same time.

Non-cryptocurrency meta-universe: large business meta-universe

Due to the long-standing relationship between the Metaverse and VR, what we consider to be a "Metaverse" was developed by some VR companies years ago. This year, two big tech companies, Facebook (now Meta) and Microsoft, have made major investments in the future of Metaverse and included it directly in their short-term plans.

Microsoft's Satya Nadella announced in May that the new Azure family is part of a "meta-edge business" expansion.

Of course, Facebook changed its name to Meta later this year and announced its own Horizon Workroom product for VR-based teamwork. After all, we don't expect them to create the meta-world we want them to be, but they won't, as they still have a deep understanding of the benefit cycle and zero competition for. In our industry, the process is different. The fundamental principles of classification, non-discrimination, anonymity and belonging to the community have been strong from the start.

The first virtual world created using blockchain technology including Sandbox, Decentraland, and Cryptovoxels. While each has different themes and global markets, the strength of blockchain and NFTs has led to real-world memberships being achieved, opening up new businesses, through leasing land to transfer to d 'others.

Many of the early works were inspired by land acquisition, and while they hoped to preserve their land as a memory in the meta-world, many interesting uses began to emerge. We are still a long way from the meta-world to become mainstream ’. To be honest, it takes a long time.

It will start with business (like Microsoft, Meta) and games (like Decentraland) and will vary gradually. Personally, I believe that an open and decentralized community meta-world owner could drag closures, rents, and oversight. This seems to suggest that Web3 will affect Web2 for various reasons. But the future is not a disaster and must be created!

In many ways, we are always available to this industry. The meta world needs its own currency. We have some of that time. However, Metaverse also needs its own operating system and will not lose money if AWS fails. Or, switch from data exchange to project management tools, where groups can be easily integrated. Or the NFT model for the interaction between the "meta edge" and other entities. In short, there is a lot to be created for this new future.
