Adidas and Nike will face off again in the meta world.
Adidas and Nike, the former sports brand, have been at odds for years.
Two major international sports companies recently filed intellectual property rights lawsuits, with Nike accusing Adidas of violating the Flyknit plot and defamation against Adidas, which asked the United States International Trade Commission to block the importation of some Adidas sneakers.
In the meta world, neither Adidas nor Nike have given up.
First, Nike announced the purchase of the sneaker brand and RTFKT virtual collections. Nike President and CEO John Donahoe believes the move will help Nike transform digital power.
"Our mission is to invest in the RTFKT brand, to support and enhance innovation and innovation in the community, and to expand Nike's digital footprint and capabilities."
Days after the announcement, adidas made the announcement of the NFT Series in partnership with Bored Ape Yacht Club, Gmoney NFT and Punks Comic.
What's more interesting is that the official Adidas site has been changed to “Into The Metaverse,” indicating that Adidas is preparing to enter the metaverse.
Today, users can purchase the NFT advertised by the official adidas website for 0.2 ETH.
Adidas believes that the meta world allows everyone to express their thoughts early on and become themselves.
In total, 30,000 NFTs were sold at the event, Adidas and its partners owning 380. All owners of NFT partners can also register directly, and all that is left must go to rush to buy.
If a participant is not able to sell, they can only buy it in the second level Opensea store.
Meanwhile, Nike NFT customers will be able to receive exclusive business applications in digital and physical form with NFT.
The current kit includes the same Ape Indigo Hertz sweater, the iconic orange gmoney hat, and the hoodie with blockchain address.
NFT customers will be able to print NFTs for free throughout 2022, but must prove that they still have NFTs at the time of collection.
Both NFT and its extensions are geared towards digital communities.
Adidas plans to create a "meta-universe virtual field experience" community after 2022, prior to that, Adidas purchased 144 virtual fields through the 3D open world game "The Sandbox".
NIKE has announced similar plans and plans to create a virtual world called NIKELAND, modeled after Nike's headquarters in Oregon, United States.
As you enter Nikeland, you can wear mini-games including Nike ACG, Tech Pack, and sneakers.
This digital world allows gamers to start working in a digital environment by turning their offline activities into online games.
Today, visitors can play dodge ball and other games in this digital space, or create their own mini-games using interactive sports data.
At the same time, the mobile user can also authorize the triggering of the virtual symbol by the measuring device.
Both names started out as NFT and gradually established their own realm in the meta-world. The meta-world is still a long way off, but once grown-ups join this competition it cannot be accepted anymore.
If ... this PK could see another great spectacle!
