100%美国人圣诞礼物首选比特币 餐桌上论加密胜过政治

Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Ethereum will be Americans' first choice for giving gifts, according to foreign media and new developments from cryptocurrency lender BlockFi.

In October, BlockFi conducted a fair survey of over 1,250 people: The Happy HOD Ldays survey found that nearly one in 10 African Americans will provide a parent with cryptocurrency as a Christmas present, Bitcoin being the most popular. High 75%, followed by Dogecoin and Ethereum. On the other hand, the acceptance of NFTs is not so high that only 2% of respondents want to receive this award.

Additionally, the study found that cryptocurrencies are a hot topic at the family table, with a third of respondents wanting to talk about digital assets rather than politics while on vacation. Baby boomers love to talk about politics compared to other generations, but Gen Z and millennials will use cryptocurrency to have family conversations.

However, less than a quarter of those surveyed know how to give cryptocurrency as a gift. So, Flori Marquez, Founder of BlockFi and VP of Operations, believes that means that while cryptocurrencies are a hot topic, more training is needed to benefit more people.

BlockFi asked its interviewers what their plans were for the New Year. A third of millennials plan to buy crypto in 2022, while their investment in previous generations has fallen to 25%. About 15% of those surveyed said they plan to buy NFT in 2022. Gen Z, born after 1997, prefer to buy Dogecoin Ether.

At the same time, the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com conducted a similar survey in Australia, with a quarter of Australian users planning to purchase cryptocurrency as a gift for loved ones this Christmas.
